Ugh, it's so hot today. Had the day off so I wasn't in the store with A/C. It's 93 with 50% humidity. :( I miss having air. At least it's supposed to cool down over the next 10 days.

I lost another pound since yesterday but I'm modifying my diet a little. I still want to apply some of the principals from the book but I have a weak will and I love food. :D So I'm still going to have more fruits and vegetables in my diet but going to keep eating things I like a lot too. I'm at 152!

Mmmm, salmon is baking in the oven and steamed veggies are almost done. One of the women I work with is bringing a table and chairs over around 7pm!! We won't have to eat sitting on the floor for much longer!

Alright, the dreaded first day. Okay so far. Got up at 8 and weighed myself (153 lbs). Had my 8oz of green lemonade (recipe below) and after getting ready for work my breakfast of fresh fruit. Today is a red plum, black plum, handful of blueberries and two bananas (which I will have at work before lunch). Lunch is a chopped salad (recipe below) and snack before leaving of green lemonade. Dinner is open to anything but since Derek will be at work, I might just have another salad. I did make cantaloupe soup as well, but it's really sweet so it can be dessert! All recipes are from the book I'm borrowing, The Raw Food Detox Diet by Natalia Rose (shameless plug).

Green Lemonade

1 head Romaine Lettuce
6 stalks Kale
1 Lemon (peeled because my juicer is kind of a wuss)
2 cored Apples (Fuji)

Threw everything (not all at once) into a juicer and stored in a 20oz bottle (about 2 servings).
It's really not as gross as it sounds or looks. I think the next time I make it I might add some honey and another apple to cut more of the "grass" taste and make it sweeter.

Chopped Salad

1 cup fresh green beans
1 yellow bell pepper
3 ears of corn with the kernels removed
2 large carrots, chopped
2 cups grape tomatoes (I just cup up two large tomatoes)
1 zucchini, chopped

Cantaloupe Soup

1 cantaloupe
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon curry powder

Combine all ingredients in a blender and chill. I cut the melon out of the rind first.

This soup has a strange taste at first but then the after taste is like pumpkin pie. It's a little strong.

I don't think I'll be able to afford feeding a great dane so I've been looking into Shibas. This would be great to try and pull off!

Work yesterday and today. I'm supposed to have tomorrow and Tuesday off, but I would rather work if another location has hours. I go in at noon today and watching GI Jane in the meantime.

Issaquah school district just called and they want to schedule an interview. They're waiting for my reference letters and I have to get a copy of my driving record. :D

Yesterday was my first job cleaning homes. It wasn't really hard, just a little tiring. They time went by fast though and the pay is good. If I can get this job as a school bus driver though it would be the best pay I have ever had and would work out really well.

I don't know why he is never home to see these damn things, but I got out of the shower and in front of the door was another giant house spider. I killed it. Bastard. Anyway, Derek was at work, so I thought I would tell him about it.

Me: Why are you never here to see these damn things?! Just killed one of those giant house spiders.
Derek: How big? ^_^
Me: About the same size as the other two. It was right by our bed too, not in the living room.
Derek: Crazy
Me: Yeah, giant house spiders sharing the same living space as me = not cool.

Me: It was by your side of the bed, at least.

Me: Hey, I killed it for you. I'll bring it back to life and put it on your pillow if you want to throw down.

Me: That's right. You don't fuck with someone who can bring giant house spiders back to life.

Today was a pretty good day, got a lot done. Woke up around 7:30, worked out, took a shower, did some school work, laundry, dishes, watched Transformers, unpacked 3 boxes (all Dragonlance books XD ) balanced and budgeted checkbook and bills, got the mail, applied for 2 jobs (one of which required lots of paperwork) and organized the apartment. I still have some school work to do but first I'm going to take a bunch of boxes down to the recycle bin. :D

Yes! It's a day before we leave for Expo but I still have to try and go. Jacqueline Carey is doing a book signing in Seattle June 29th! Thank you again Alyssa for getting me into her stuff. :D

So things might be looking up in financial news! I got a second job today as a house cleaner for Dana's Housekeeping. I'll be cleaning, running errands, yard work, etc for clients here 4 hours at a time. $50 for each 4 hour session right after I'm done. I don't even have to wait for a paycheck. Now I have to hope I can get lots and lots of hours with them because the only work I have with CSC anytime soon is June 13th and it's only 11 hours. The next event is at the end of the month a couple of days before expo. I really hope the housecleaning works out so that I can:

A) Pay bills for July
B) Pay for and attend Expo
C) Pay Derek back for groceries
D) Save up for house/Japan
E) Pay off loans and cards
F) Attend Washington Academy of Languages in July

That and CSC could mean 60 hours a week and really good pay, better than Amex and maybe even Att.

Dr. Angry stalled again today. I took him to AA Auto this morning and they need more time to try and figure out why it keeps happening. I need the car for tomorrow morning (NW Fertility Physical) so I got him back for now but he'll be back in the shop (free of charge) either tomorrow night or the next day (after I give more plasma).

Bills are paid for June. Thank you everyone for your support....and porn.

Time for another day at the Plasma Center! They're probably going to be pretty busy so I might be there until 4 today... :( Oh well, $35 is $35.

My interview two days ago with Panera bread went really well and the manager said she would be contacting me later that day to schedule an interview with the General manager. I hadn't heard anything so I just called and they have already filled the positions.

Also, after putting $1800 into my car, it stalled today.

I don't know who I pissed off to make everything go so badly.

Home and unpacking. Very very tired. I don't want to wash dishes anymore...

On the super plus (tampon) side, I have an interview with Panera bread on Wednesday!!!

Finally finished packing and getting the tools to put the shelves together. Also made sure plans were taken care of with mom and dad. Now I get to put shelves together! Plane leaves at 7:14, a 45 minutes stop in SLC (punk) and then in Phoenix by noon. It's going to be really, really hot.
